Mathematical Reasoning at KS3 - National Collaborative Project

Who is it aimed at? KS3 teachers

Outcomes:

Participating teachers will increase their experience and understanding of:

  • The mathematical reasoning aspect of the new KS3 programmes of study and the issues related to its effective teaching and learning.

  • leading developments and professional development in their departments

  • the process, effect and impact of Professional Development TRGs activities.

They will:

  • broaden their repertoire of activities that develop their pupils’ mathematical reasoning

  • develop confidence when planning and teaching lessons addressing the reasoning component of the new secondary curriculum as part of all lessons.
